Where BatchMaster fits
BatchMaster is one of the better-known process ERPs in chemicals, personal care and food, with more than three decades in the market and modules covering formulation, batch production, quality control, inventory and SDS authoring. Teams that want a familiar ERP shape, a broad module catalogue and a choice of on-premise or hosted deployment often shortlist it, and it genuinely handles core process manufacturing well.
The honest trade-off is that BatchMaster is an item-first ERP with formulation and regulation bolted on top. Substance data lives in one module, batches in another, SDSs in a third; regulatory rules (REACH, PCN, MoCRA, CPSR) usually mean either extra BatchMaster modules or a parallel regulatory tool that has to be kept in sync by hand. It is not marketed as AI-native, so the day-to-day operational work (drafting a customer declaration, updating an SDS, filing a PCN, generating a CPSR) still sits with people.
