Ukraine's Transition Period for Harmonised Cosmetics Regulation Ends
On 3 August 2026, the two-year transitional period established under Ukraine’s Technical Regulation on Cosmetic Products concluded. The regulation, which is based on the EU cosmetics framework, introduces harmonised rules for products placed on the Ukrainian market.
With the end of the transition period, all cosmetic products must now be fully compliant with the technical regulation before being placed on the market in Ukraine. This includes adherence to updated safety, labelling, and market authorisation requirements.
Companies selling into Ukraine must now ensure complete conformity with the country’s cosmetic safety and market authorisation framework, as previous allowances for non-compliant stock have expired.
