How does lot traceability work?
Lots are captured at the point of picking and held against the batch record, so forward and backward traceability for a recall is a query, not a reconstruction.
Do we have to adopt everything at once?
No. Own-product manufacturers usually start with the product record and the lab, then add planning, batch records and warehouse in sequence.
Will it handle yield reconciliation?
Yes. Input, output, residue, samples and losses are recorded against the works order, so the difference is visible and attributable rather than absorbed.
