Centric is a well-known PLM vendor across fashion, retail and consumer goods, headquartered in Silicon Valley, with a beauty and personal care offering layered onto that core during COVID. The suite is genuinely broad (PLM, Planning, Pricing & Inventory, Market Intelligence, Visual Boards, PXM for product content across 1,000+ retail channels) and is strong on trend intelligence, pricing and assortment. Larger enterprises that already standardise on a single PLM across many product categories often shortlist it.
Centric's regulatory intelligence is real (FoodChain ID integration into 220+ global food and chemical libraries, a country-level compliance cockpit, Centric AI Formula Match), but it is piped in from a third party rather than owned in the data model. For cosmetic businesses where regulation, safety documentation and customer-specific packs are the centre of gravity, the trade-off is depth in those specific domains versus breadth across categories.
